3. Use Of SiliaBond® Dichlorotriazine

SiliaBond® DCT must be activated with N-methylmorpholine (NMM) to give a morpholinium salt that can react with the carboxylic acid to form the activated ester. It may then react with an amine to form the amide or safely stored for use at a later date. Si–DCT may also be used for synthesis of Weinreb amides and sulfonamides. Si–DCT provides a fast clean route to generating amides with complete conversion in a little more than an hour compared to most bound coupling reagents, which requires overnight incubation.

  1. SiliaBond® Dichlorotriazine (DCT)

    SiliaBond® Dichlorotriazine (DCT)

Amide bond formation is certainly among the most common chemical transformation in organic synthesis. This explains the diversity of possible reaction pathways and reagents available on the market. SiliCycle is part of this trend and this is why we have developed the bound equivalent of 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine(cyanuric chloride), SiliaBond® Dichlorotriazine (Si-DCT).

  2. SiliaPrep™ SPE Cartridges Dichlorotriazine (DCT)

    SiliaPrep™ SPE Cartridges Dichlorotriazine (DCT)

SiliaPrep Dichlorotriazine has been designed as a reagent for amide coupling applications.
