SiliaBond® - Chromatographic Phases
The sorbent required for the purification of a specific substrat will vary according to the structure of the said substrate. Wether it is ionized or neutral and depending on its polarity and solubility, the appropriated chromatographic stationary phase will vary. In order to better fulfill those different needs, SiliCycle offer a wide variety of sorbents for normal and reversed-phase. Please refer to the sorbent selection guide to select the most appropriated phase.

SiliaBond® Pentafluorophenyl
SiliaBond® Pentafluorophenyl (Si-PFP) is a sorbent primarily used in the separation of molecules bearing fluorine atoms but may also be used in the separation of non-fluorous compounds such as Taxol® and its derivatives. Because of its phenyl ring, Si-PFP has a higher selectivity for aromatics containing molecules compared to the other fluorinated sorbents.

SiliaPrep™ SPE Cartridges Pentafluoprophenyl
SiliaPrep Pentafluorophenyl is a fluorous sorbent used to separate fluorinated molecules and non-fluorinated ones. The electron density presents fluorinated aromatic ring which affords an enhancement in the retention of conjugated and aromatic ring-containing due to the desirable pi-pi interactions. Excellent alternative of the C18 when the C18 presents a selectivity problem.
