Mettler ToledoSILICYCLE® HAS SIGNED A DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH METTLER TOLEDO FOR THE MINIBLOCK® PRODUCT LINE.

SiliCycle has signed a distribution agreement with METTLER TOLEDO, a global manufacturer and marketer of precision instruments to use in laboratory, industrial and food retailing applications, for co-marketing and distribution of the MiniBlock product line in the United States and Canada.

METTLER TOLEDO is a leader in the chemical compound discovery and process development sector. Providing sale, service and application support throughout the world, METTLER TOLEDO counts the top 20 pharmaticeutical corporations as customers. The MiniBlock is compatible with the full range of SiliCycle metal scavengers, functionalized silica gels such as chromatographic phases and reagents, heterogeneous catalysts and all SPE sorbents (silica-based and polymeric).

The MiniBlock is a flexible easy-to-use reaction block designed for parallel synthesis and reaction screening. MiniBlock enables parallel synthesis for solution phase, solid phase, and purification- all on the same platform.

The MiniBlock is originally designed by chemists and engineers at Bristol-Myers Squibb, and further developed by METTLER TOLEDO. Our combined experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries enables the MiniBlock® to fulfill your synthesis requirements and meet your projects deadlines.

 

Inert Conditions: Continuous inert gas flow enables air/moisture sensitive reactions. Easily add reagents through the septum layer.

Agitation and Resin Washing: Customized two- and six-position shakers result in precision vortex mixing of reactions. Built-in washing capability enables rapid preparation of resins or efficient washing of products while reaction blocks remain on the shaker.

Heating and Cooling: Modular heat transfer jackets facilitate precision heating up to 120ºC and cooling down to -20°C. Temperature uniformity and reproducibility is within 1°C at 80°C.

Configure to Your Needs: Miniblock can synthesize compounds in individual vessels with sizes ranging from 4 mL up to 40 mL, all delivered into racks with microplate footprints. This flexibility provides a smooth, seamless workflow from synthesis to screening.

Efficient Reflux: Single reflux jacket cools all vessels. No need for individual condensers. Fitting provide quick and easy connection to your cooling liquid. Solvent loss on average is only 0,2% per hour.

Precise Temperature Control: Controller displays temperature and regulates heating between -70°C (with ice bath) to 160°C.

Modular Racks: Readily interchangeable reaction vessel racks enable simple conversion between 6, 12, 24 and 48 position arrays. The 24 and 48 position vessel racks are compatible with parallel centrigugal evaporators.
