Job Description

Under the direction of the Vice President - Marketing, the incumbent of the position must act in accordance with the policies and procedures established to contribute to the deployment of the brand image of SiliCycle's products. To do so, the incumbent will ensure the creation of various communication tools, the writing and revision of documents of a strong scientific nature, in addition to monitoring social media and its content. The person will also work closely with multi-functional teams and will sometimes hold a leadership position in project management.


  • Write, create and update marketing tools such as: brochures, catalogues, flyers, case studies, specification sheets, application notes, presentations, website, etc.
  • Contribute to promoting and building the brand image of SiliCycle and its products in the media by, for example, writing blog articles, case studies, etc.
  • Participate in the development and execution of web and digital communications strategies, produce performance reports, analyse results and propose innovative solutions.
  • Digital Ecosystem: Assist in the management of all existing digital and social assets.
  • Contribute to the management of technical and product support: customer support, monitoring and management of issues, monitoring of product knowledge, competition, pricing and differentiation factors, etc.
  • Ensure feedback with other departments: make recommendations to improve products, help generate qualified leads, ensure the creation and maintenance of the department's various databases allowing planning and follow-up of objectives.

Skills Required

  • University degree in science and technology AND relevant experience in science marketing/writing or training in communication, journalism, writing AND relevant writing experience in a scientific field relevant to chemistry.
  • Excellent ability to write content of a strong scientific nature.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of branding and communication strategies.
  • Good knowledge of social media.
  • Bilingualism essential.
  • Autonomous, creative, dynamic, motivated and capable of initiative.
  • Ability to analyze and solve professional and technical problems.
  • Organized and methodical and able to make quality decisions.
  • Good time and priority management.
  • Ability to work both alone and in a team.
  • Be results and business oriented.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools.
  • Be available occasionally for international travel.


  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite software.
