Main characteristics include increased resolution and more accurate quantitative measurements. HPTLC are an obvious choice for fully regulated environments as they were developed for – and entirely compatible with –scanning, automation, full optimization, selective detection, direct transfer to a mass spectrometer or HPLC, and so on.
