CASE STUDY
Scavenging of Copper from Amphiphilic Glycopeptides for the Creation of Supramolecular Hydrogels

Enzyme-loaded hydrogels have potential uses as catalytic reactors to convert prodrugs into anti-cancer drugs in vivo. The hydrogels are formed by amphiphilic glycopeptides synthesized by copper catalyzed Huisgen reactions.
Residual copper is scavenged using SiliaMetS Triamine.

SiliaMetS Triamine (R48030B)
Effective for scavenging metals such as Pb, Co, Ru and Pd. Our screening studies have shown it to be the preferred scavenger for Pb. It can also be used as a scavenger for acid chlorides, isocyanates and other electrophiles.
